# Knowledge base

> A versioned wiki the agent reads — and, with approval, maintains

The knowledge base is your organization's shared memory: a wiki of markdown pages the agent uses as context and can help maintain. Policies, product details, processes, decisions — anything you'd otherwise re-explain in every conversation.

## Pages and folders

Pages live in a folder tree, editable from the **Knowledge** page with a full rich-text editor. Moves and renames are safe: old paths keep working via automatic aliases, so links and agent references don't break when you reorganize.

## Versioning

Every page keeps its full revision history. Open a page's history to see each revision, compare, and revert. Changes are grouped into changesets with an activity feed, so you can see what changed across the whole knowledge base and when.

## The agent and the knowledge base

The agent can search, read, and list pages freely — that's how your context reaches its answers. Writes are different:

* Page **creates, edits, and deletions** by the agent are approval-gated
* The approval card shows a **diff** of exactly what will change
* Approved changes land as normal revisions, attributed and revertible like any other

A common pattern: at the end of a substantial conversation, ask the agent to "write up what we decided in the knowledge base" — review the diff, approve, and the next conversation starts from there.

## Access

Knowledge base pages are organization-scoped and follow your organization's access controls.
